Info For CHLUG Guest Speakers
CHLUG encourages guest speakers at our meetings. If you represent a company or organization that has valuable information pertinent to the Linux community and would like to make a presentation at a CHLUG meeting, we ask that you take these factors into account: * CHLUG meetings are generally on the 1st Fridays around 7:00 pm, though meeting dates and times can be flexible. * CHLUG meetings usually last 2 hours, so presentations should be kept to around 1 to 1.5 hours. * CHLUG members come from all over South Jersey. * CHLUG members have varying degrees of experience with Linux. Some members haven't even installed it yet, while others have been administering a Linux system for years. Knowing this, if you think your presentation would be interesting and useful to CHLUG members, please mail info@chlug.org with: * Name of your organization * Name of a contact person * Email address and phone number of a contact person * What your organization does * Subject of the presentation * Equipment requirements (that you cannot provide) * Best time and day of the week * Approximate length of presentation * Any other information you think we should know There are only a limited number of CHLUG meetings every year (12). We do our best to schedule as many talks that are of greatest interest to the greatest number of our members, although ocassionally we have newbie "CHLUG 101" topics. We look forward to hearing from you. |
